Dressing for your watch ?

Met up with my brother this weekend and he was sporting the old iwc LPP chrono I gave him.

It made me think about whether I have become more casual in my clothing since wearing my diver now as a daily wearer vs. the leather strap chrono.

Could it be that wearing a casual piece each day leads to more relaxed clothing as well vs. a dressier piece perhaps causing one to choose smarter or more formal attire to better match the watch ?

Or maybe it’s the reverse and the watch one wants is what fits with the general attire etc. the most.

Ok so this is how I do it - pick watch first and then dress accordingly :)

If I do it the other way round I usually end up changing my watch.

I should add - I’m either dressed in a suit, or shirt and trousers minimum. Or gym clothes. No inbetween lol.
