WTS: Vintage Rolex Box (Inner/Outer)
As above - some pictures below. Originally came with my old watch and it was sold w/o the box as i could not find it initially.
Will ask for $100 inclusive shipping to CONUS (other countries, pls ask). Will only deal via PayPal. Thanks. |

OEM simply means whether it is an Original Rolex Box. i.e. made by Rolex.
Just say "yes" or "no".

Huh?
OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer So what's the actual meaning? its either REAL or FAKE - but is there such a thing as "OEM"? That's my question. My take is whether the box is original or fake - i don't believe its fake and no, i don't BUY and SELL fakes. So there, i hope i put it as straight as possible as I don't want to mislead anyone here. |

This is a fake box.
(a) Poor quality printing on outer box. (b) The inner box inside lid is concealed to obscure the printing which is never printed in black by Rolex anyway. (c) The timber (blond) is never used by Rolex to panel the inside of the box, and it is poorly finished as seen in the bottom right hand corner of the inner lid. (d) The seller says 'I believe' it is real, which is unacceptable. One should know what they are selling to call it "Rolex", an innocent purchaser would believe it to be genuine and should be entitled to rely upon a representation of "Vintage Rolex" as a statement of fact. (e) The pillow cloth is wrongly cut, note the absence of the triangulated tip. (f) There is no photo of the bottom of the box (selective depiction as with the inside lid being obscured), as I believe it would show the absence of a model number. All in all a very unsatisfactory situation. Posting items for sale is not a right it is a privilege, and the responsibility is on the seller to demonstrate proper bona fides, which I am satisfied has not occurred in this case.
