SubC on Nato... better than I thought.

So I got my Bergeron 7825 today and it was pretty pretty pretty preeety good.

Thoughts on this look? I kind of love it.

Looks good, I personally like a five digit on NATO better.

I have tried to like NATOs but they aren't for me. If you like it, that is all that matters.

Unpopular opinion but I hate natostraps more than anything. If a watch is sold on a bracelet, it should stay on the bracelet. My opinion anyways.

Used to be my Sub wore a nato only for the summer months but now it stays on for much longer usually about half the year.

I am on a keyboard a LOT for work, and while I LOVE the Oyster bracelet, this is so comfortable for typing all day.

that acually doesn't look bad. From my experience subs look great on a green nato however it's rare to find a good color green nato.

Excellent look. I cut the short flap and ring off all my Natos to keep them a bit closer to the wrist. Keep enjoying that beauty on cloth.

Ya I'll go for that.

I have been wearing my GMT LN on black rubber everest for months, can't imagine going back to the oyster even though I had it brushed and it looks way better without the PCLs...I just prefer the emphasis on the round watch face with natos or rubber or whatever. The matching oyster just gives the watch this weird square/round thing. Even though the everest also fits my Explorer perfectly and looks ok, I do prefer the oyster on that watch, but it's a completely different and nicer (IMO) case design to begin with.

Love the look of this. Plus you’ve got some of my most favorite accessories there.

I bought this strap from Crown & Buckle in 3 colors so I’ll add a few more pictures later on. I highly recommend this, it’s the Supreme Nato.

Just some thoughts as I drink a Paloma.....
Check out the crown and buckle supreme. They are a thinner but stiffer material, the classic nato style and a single piece of metal for the buckle. Ohh and 1/3 the cost.
I have several premium seatbelt style brands and they are all comfortable but they mostly come on spring bar buckles. What is the point of connecting both spring bars on your watch to a single piece strap if you are then going to depend on a single spring bar on the strap buckle?
Also, seatbelt straps are typically thicker material. My only complaint with the subC as far as strapping goes is the distance from spring bar to case is very small and does not allow for thick material. Do not spend any money on square hole NATO straps the sharp case will rip the holes up as you thread it on.

Natos make it easier for the wife to rock your watch.

I think it looks great! Now that you have a proper tool for swapping, I'd mix it up for the fun of it

This one I bought is the supreme. Is that be one you’re talking about? Also agree about the distance. I have a leather nato I can’t thread.

That one you have uses a “seatbelt” style cloth. All the companies charge significantly more for them. They are comfy but so are the cheaper ones. The more expensive ones typically come with bigger buckles that may look cool but use spring bars in the buckle.

Not trying to be negative at all. Love your sub on the NATO. Just don’t have many opportunities to talk about the nuances of the NATO.
Cheers

That makes total sense. DaLuca makes the most heavy duty Natos I’ve personally ever seen. Totally sewn. No springbars.

I had mine on a nato for a while but switched back. I love the way it looks but ultimately prefer the feel of the bracelet. Endless possibilities for changing up the look though.

100%, is even go as far as saying 5 digit and before I *prefer* on nato instead of the cheaper feeling bracelets.

Just curious, why mayo and not mustard? Creamier or?
