First time post.....OP36.....
Hello all, first time posting and just after some advice......
7.5 inch wrist and I’m looking at an OP 36 with the white grape dial. In terms of the size I just can’t fathom whether it’s too small or not on my wrist. Anyone with similar wrist size purchased the OP36, if so any thoughts? I have a feeling I already know my answer, as the saying goes where there is doubt there is no doubt!! I tried to upload a picture however it won’t work on my mobile. |

Most people lose their own perspective, especially if they routinely wear a pie-pan sized watch, then put on a normal size example.
Almost nobody would relate your wrist size to your watch size, and conclude that a watch comes in appropriate "sizes" for individuals.

A new 36mm on a 7.75 wrist
Don’t let the dinner-plate-arazzi brainwash you. 36 is still THE gentlemen’s size. |

My white OP36 is my daily and probably my favorite watch to date. It's a no-brainer for me (wrist is about 6.25 to 6.5 inch). It's a jack of all trades, easily worn for casual and formal occasion alike. It also just melts on the wrist. I find that it wears very similarly to the 38mm Seiko SARBS, which are also truly fantastic watches with perfect fit and case proportions, but the OP wins out in overall quality, movement, and bracelet. The brushed oyster bracelet is supreme. |

Welcome to the forum OP.
If you have doubt about it’s size, have you been able to try on any of the new 41’s? |

Try both on and see which one fits your wrist. Do not go by the case diameter alone. Factor in the lug to lug length and that should be within your wrist width or span.
I have the OP36 on a 6.3" wrist that is flat with a width of 5 cm. |

I think an OP36 would like fine on you, but you do have a big enough wrist to carry off an OP41. I think you will only know once you have had the chance to try both on unfortunately.

The acceptable range of case sizes for any particular wrist size is larger than most of us think it should be. Mostly just a mental impediment.
They have to be quite severely over or undersized to look as odd we think they initially do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a 7in wrist and have a new 36mm OP with the Silver dial on order. Can’t wait to get it. 36mm watches wear incredibly on average sized wrists.

This picture is a DJ41 on my 7.25 inch wrist. So I have a smaller wrist than you, although mine is pretty flat, but the 41(39.5) isn’t even close to being too larger. I personally think a 36 would be much too small on my 7.25” wrist. But it just comes down to preference. I think a 36 would be too small, but it won’t look outlandish by any means and people won’t be thinking you are wearing too small of a watch. So then it solely comes down to what you, just yourself, thinks looks better. You’d be fine with either choice. Good luck! It will look good on ya!

I agree. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a 36mm DJ on your wrist. But you should have no problem moving up to 41mm. My wrist is about the same time and I have no problem pulling off Sea Dwellers and Sky Dwellers which both would wear significantly larger than a 36mm DJ. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I recently received an OP41 blue and am really pleased with how it wears. I have a flat 7 inch wrist, and was initially worried it would be too big! For comparison I think it wears noticeably smaller than my speedy pro. The watch diameter (in classic rolex fashion) from 9 to 3 is more like 39 than 41.
You will be fine either way. 36 is and always will be a classic. Try the 36 if it feels small to you aim for one of the new 41s or previous OP39s. Also check out Hafiz J Mehmood's youtube channel great reviews of all 3 sized OPs! |

The old ref OP36 wears bigger. The case is beefier. I think you ll be fine but do try the watch.
Having said that, the new OPs have easylink and Id aim for one if possible. It seems to me that the new OP41 has the right proportions and wears like a 39mm Explorer. Id be very curious to see OP41, Explorer 1 and DJ41 side by side

Thanks all for the replies.
Coming from a Tudor Pelagos as my daily wearer I do have a feeling it’s in my head if that makes sense. I’ll post a picture up as soon as tap talk will let me ! I’ve tried the watch on.......... |

Here is a DJ41 on my wrist....and I thought it wore small every time I looked at it. So 36mm would be out for me.
