Need thoughts PAM 1441
I'm seriously considering picking up a 1441. There is not alot of info out there defining movement accuracy, movement testing. Also, what are your thoughts on the case breaking or cracking upon a fall? Thanks in advance for your inputs...

Great watch! I'd love a ceramic or carbotech Panerai.
The P.9010 movement is tried and tested at this point. While not always a fan of ecru lume, I think it looks great with ceramic. While not the most traditional, the Arabics have a history with modern Panerai, and I like them. Could it crack if dropped? Yes, that's always a risk with ceramic....But that's not a risk unique to Panerai, and the material very likely won't ever show scratches. Plus, the black color is very cool. I saw in your other thread that you are considering this for your first Panerai. While not the most "obvious" first PAM, it's a nice one, and I think buying what one loves is always the best move. Good luck with the hunt! Nothing beats going to a boutique and trying them all on. |

Thanks for your input Cru. Yes, spent time at the boutique, and still think it is the one for me. Love the brown/black combo. I have other ss, just looking for something unique for the collection. It must not be received very well by the community, as there is not much out there on forums or reviews.

I have the previous generation model (441) as my only PAM and I absolutely love it. Very versatile and a great watch.
Only picture I can find of mine at the moment but wears fantastic on the factory grey strap as well:

Here’s a short post I wrote about the PAM 1441 on my site. It is a great looking watch, but like any ceramic watch, it is brittle so you don’t want to drop it or it might crack or chip.

In case this thread is still alive: I'm looking at Panerai's official website at the 1441 and it's showing a different dial w/o all the numerals. Very different than the photos here. Does somebody know why / how to explain? Thanks!

I hope this thread is still active: I'm seeing photos and the review from thsiao where the PAM 1441 looks like the 441 and has all the numerals (except '3'). But when I check out Panerai's own webiste, the PAM 1441 is showing up as having only the 6-9-12, and in addition it's showing with a different black strap.
Can someone help explain which one is which? Thanks! |
