Icon20 The Standard in Luxury, Elegance, and Craftsmanship, Patek Philippe.

Patek Philippe, the watch for those with truly discriminating taste who demand the ultimate in Luxury, Elegance, and Precision workmanship.
Patke Philippe has been known for many years undisputedly as the absolute Finest watch in the World, and this beautiful timepiece is an excellent example of the Patek Philippe brand. This Elegant Patek Philippe, circa 1959 comes fully serviced by a Master Patek Philippe watchmaker, accompanied by a full two year warranty. Patek Philippe watches are known for their clean lines, and that special unique quality that makes every watch enthusiast dream of owning a Patek Philippe. With this incredible quality, and worldwide following also comes a great deal of prestige, and what many refer to in the watch community as ‘Patek prices’. Patek Philippe watches are unaffordable to many, with new models starting in the $10,000 range and a very limited production only fueling the demand for these beautiful masterpieces.
A Patek is much more than a watch, each Patek tells a story of tradition, and of uncomprimising standards for perfection, standards set in 1851 by the original founders Antoni Norber Patek, and Adrien Philippe. These two gentelmen would be proud to see this watch today, and how it has stood the test of time, still looking like new a half century later.
To maintain the integrity of this watch, I felt it was very important to use only a Master Patek Philippe watchmaker to service this watch, and to ensure that only genuine Patek Philippe parts were used. During the service, the dial was also completely refinished by hand, using the exact same techniques used by patek for over a century and a half. The refinishing of this dial was a long process, involving several dozen steps and taking several days to complete. The end result though, is well worth all the effort, as it yields a true Patek Philippe dial. The only way to have a refinished dial that is truly original is to have the refinishing hand done by a Master Patek Philippe watchmaker using Patek Philippe materials and tools, the exact same way a dial is made in the Geneve factory.
Around the circumference of the dial are sixty individual markers for each minute, with each marker being created by hand. These markers are done in a concave style refered to as ‘pearling’, and each one looks just like a pearl when finished. They capture light beautifully, and further illustrate the lengths that Patek Phillipe, and their watchmakers will go to in order to achieve perfection. The original Patek Philippe crown is crisp, with clean sharp edges showing just how infrequently this watch has been used.
The Case is Triple signed, with signatures underneath the bezel, inside of the case back, and hallmarks on two of the lugs. In order to maintain the vintage character of this watch, I chose not to have the case polished, leaving a slight beautiful vintage patina on this impeccably clean case. The bezel is a marvel in itself, coming to a perfect point with the mid section of the case, a point soo perfect that no seam is visible. The bezel and the case appear as one, and for the longest time I thought they were one until told otherwise by the Master Patek Philippe watchmaker who serviced the watch. The inside of the case back features all the proper hallmarks, signatures, and the reference number of this scarce watch, 2572. Very few of this model were ever produced, and even fewer survive today in this condition. This watch truly was someone’s ‘Safe queen’. One of the rarest features of this Patek Philippe is its size, this Patek measures in at 37mm wide, and 32mm from lug to lug. Most vintage Pateks measure in at 26mm to 29mm, a ladies watch by today’s standards. This is a true full size mens watch, and is extremely comfortable to wear.
Inside, the true magic begins. The movement is entirely hand made, down to each and every screw thread. The Patek Philippe movement features 18 jewels, and featuring adjustments to Heat, Cold, Isochronosim, as well as five positions. Patek Philippe movements are the finest in the world, and are awarded with the Geneva seal for their craftsmanship and precision. This movement features the Geneva Seal on two places, one near the balance, and the other being next to the Patek Philippe signature.
Because I am a true believe in standing by my products, I am offering this watch with a full two year warranty.
Priced at just $5500 USD, this beautiful vintage Patek Philippe is sure to please even the most discriminating collector, and provide an affordable piece of luxury.
