UK AP ADs...

Couldn't see another thread, but seems in the UK (as seems to be the model elsewhere) that only Boutiques will exist from January 2021.

So for us AP fans up-north we will have to travel to the big smoke now, what a pain...

Any advice on the best Boutique for '*normal' watch collectors?

Cheers,

Dupe....

Owen & Robinson were the AP dealers for Northern folk and have been amazing to deal with but from January 2021 they’re no longer official ADs but will probably have some stock left. AP House in London will be the place to buy new and TBH it’s well worth the trip, they’re lovey people and more interested in collectors passion for the brand over their bank balance.

They've got the space for a pool table and some darts, I say we lobby for them to get those in and maybe some canapes too to go with their drinks, these days we need reasons to leave the safety of our bubbles.

I agree on AP House is definitely the place to visit when venturing to the big smoke. Also remember to pre-book your visit with them!

Shame for O and R, do like them, I think a Vacheron Constantin may be required at some point so will hopefully use them again.

Good to here about the Boutique House, sounds encouraging, any ideas on lead times for 15500 (non blue), couple years still?

Cheers,

Dupe...

I like them too and aim to get a L Datograph from them.

If I’m on the waitlist for the Harrods boutique (got transferred from the old boutique in London) - is there any point in also trying with the AP House?

Super helpful, I guess then no point. Yes initially! But since few others have taken over (he’s in cc usually). Have been waiting for a while but I am fine to be patient as long as I know I’m getting the watch at some point and not being stupid trying to get on multiple lists.

Wow, I didn’t know that. Matt who runs O and R is a mate of mine and hadn’t mentioned it. Shame.
