Tudor BB 58 Leather Strap & Bracelet
Hey everyone! Wanted to just post a quick thread about the BB 58. While I'm waiting on my OP to come in, I've also told my AD to put me down for the BB 58 in Blue. I would love to get the watch on the stainless bracelet up front, but I also really like the new leather strap specifically for the BB. Has anyone purchased the watch one way then added the other strap/bracelet later? Just curious to see how that process is or how to even do it?
Thanks everyone! |

Bought my GMT on leather and added the bracelet later. Very easy. Took about a week or so to come in. Tudor is much easier than Rolex for adding accessories. You won't have a problem. Their bracelets are not cheap though....

Tudor BB 58 Leather Strap & Bracelet
Tipically cheaper to buy on steel and later add the leather / rubber bands on most watches. You can probably negotiate with them to supply your watch with both; just ask to see if they would and how much extra

Does anyone know what the factory Tudor bracelet/leather strap goes for?

I bought it on bracelet and use it on a Pertexo single pass strap. Worked for me. |

I told my AD that I definitely want it on the bracelet, then I'll either look to add the Tudor Leather strap or an after market one later. I had a chance to feel the soft touch strap on the BB 58's and I really liked it. So I'm kinda torn on buying an aftermarket strap or trying to see what it would cost to get the factory Tudor leather strap after the fact.

I added a strap for my old BBR; from the AD it was about $200 iirc.

I bought the blue BB58 on the soft touch strap a few months ago and had them order the steel bracelet, which was $850. It took about 2 weeks to get the bracelet.

I have the BB58 Blue on the Soft Touche Strap. It looks and feels like suede, not very similar to the leather the black BB58 has. This strap is GORGEOUS. The deployant clasp it comes with is awesome as well. I believe the strap costs $200 without the deployant clasp and $500 with the clasp from the AD. So if you want to purchase the watch on bracelet it will cost you $500 to add on the strap after-purchase (as well as an extra $300 up front).
My advice: skip the bracelet. The Tudor bracelet for the BB 58 isn't nearly the quality of say a rolex bracelet. The faux-rivets also cheapen it, in my opinion. The BB58 looks incredible on the soft touch as well as the NATO. Also one benefit of going the soft-touch is there are likely far less people on the waiting list. For my local AD there were 20 people on the list for the bracelet and 3 for the soft-touch. I actually got the watch 3 days after I got on the list! |

For my GMT the bracelet was around $830 if I remember right.
It was only slightly more to order the watch on leather and add the bracelet vs buying the watch on bracelet and adding the strap. I think it was $100-200 more to start with leather and add the bracelet. Not a big deal when talking about a $4K watch |

Tudor BB 58 Leather Strap & Bracelet
It’s more cost effective to buy it on the bracelet and add straps later.
The bracelet is great btw. Not as refined as Rolex and doesn’t have a glide lock type clasp but it’s still very good.

I bought the BB58 on the bracelet ...
... and bought the OEM nato strap from my AD (130GBP) ... ... and a rubber Vanguard strap (130USD) ... all of which look great and change the vibe of the watch. The bracelet gets the least wrist time for sure. |

For some brands, I agree that the order you buy is important.
For the Tudor BB58, it is safe to skip that advice and get what is available sooner. If you buy the Bracelet first, it is $3700 + $175 for the Blue Soft Touch and $290 for the clasp for a total of $4165 If you buy the Soft Touch first, it is $3375 + $850 for the bracelet for a total of $4225 Only you can decide if the $60 is worth any potential hassle or wait. Enjoy it...it is a great watch and for the record I went with the soft touch and so far have not followed through with ordering the bracelet.

Good advice above.
I always knew that I’d always just strap it onto a NATO and therefore went for the cheapest option which was on the Soft Touch strap. Took it off on day one and have only ever worn it on aftermarket NATO’s. Sometimes I wish I had the bracelet... not to wear but just to sit in the box knowing I had it. LOL. Makes no sense seeing as I’m never going to sell it but it’s a weird hobby. Great watch - I have about 8 NATO’s for it and it look great on all of them! |
