Opinions on possible trade - Deep Sea Blue (JC) for Hulk or Skydweller
Good Afternoon,
Yet another trade dilemma, where id appreciate some feedback from the forum members. I own a Deep Sea Blue that gets very little wrist time. I have been after a Hulk for a while, and recently really liking the Skydweller I will only trade, as I rather not sell outright. Would you consider the trade and if so what is a fair value +/- cash currently? Thanks in advance. |

If you’re not wearing the DSSD I’d go for the Sub.
Personally, the D-Blue is one of my all time favorites and wouldn’t let it go but watches are meant to be worn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Love the JC but if you are not wearing it then it may not be for you. Do what makes you happy just remember the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Good luck man.

Are you trading with an AD or Gray? That will help determine how much extra cash you’ll have to add. Seriously doubt you’ll get cash back, but not up to date on second hand prices for the JC.
I prefer the SkyD to the LV. But would choose the LV if 1. You don’t have another diver; 2. You think LV prices will keep going up and will add in the future regardless (this is about paying less now, not about being able to sell it for a profit later). SkyD is still produced so it’s possible, but difficult, to get one at an AD, unlike the LV. |

I own the Hulk and Sky-Dweller. Between those two the Sky is better. The Hulk is a great looking watch but the Sky is great looking and somewhat complicated (GMT/AC). I vote Sky. I would also consider an AP diver if I were you - definitely better than a Hulk for the money. Just to be honest...out of my collection the Hulk might be the first to go. I think the DSSD is one of the best that Rolex makes and is on my short list for sure.

I disagree with the others, I would get a hulk over the SkyD. It is too chunky and inelegant. Say what you will of the green Sub, but there is nothing that competes with that dial.
You’ll be adding serious $$$ regardless of which way you go.

You’re asking for opinion. I would rather wear the DSSD blue than a green sub.

Why don’t you wear the Dblue?
Regardless, the LVC will be a drastically different wearing experience than the Dblue and the SkyDweller will fit somewhere in between IMO |
