Would you trade your favorite watch for Ben Hogan's real secret?

For any golfers out there. If you had to give up your most treasured watch in your collection to learn Ben Hogan's real golf swing secret and hit the ball straight for the rest of your life. Would you do it?

Yes, because than I would make millions on tour a year and buy every damn watch that I want, including the one I gave up for The Secret.

No way. You can simply buy the best book ever on the simple game of golf...

My dad was a scratch golfer and when I asked him to teach me how to play, he gave me this book. The fun is in learning how to play the game and manage the course!

No, I read his book a long time ago. Great book. Been a low digit golfer for many years. Tried lots of "secrets" over the years. At the end of the day, it is hard to maintain consistency through all phases of the game. On the rare day everything works, I may shoot under par, but most of the time one facet is not totally on. Lately tee to green has been awesome but putting not so much. It is not like I am making a bunch of bad putts or three putts, just not sinking as many as usual. When the putter comes back, I will not hit an many greens...it is just the nature of the beast.

Even for the best pros...phases of the game come in and out.

Ben Hogan's secret has to do with a stable face at impact for both the long and short game. But I see your point sir

Couldn't have given a better answer. There's a golf course in my back yard and those guys are serious, let me tell ya. They're out there at the crack of dawn in 40 degree weather to hit a ball around grass. I think eventually I may give golf a shot though, to be honest my one real fear is I may like it and become obsessed.

It would need to give me time to play more. I’m a 0.1 and play maybe 2-3 times a week in the summer, and once in the winter. I could hit every fairway for the rest of my life and it wouldn’t have a huge impact. Maybe i get to a +1 or so. So for me, no.

I do realized that point.

But what he "discovered" in the dirt or what he dug out was the automated anti-flip/crossover impact dynamic.

Even today touring professionals or world class instructors are still in the dark on how he achieved the "automated" part. Which means he was swinging the club hard just like the rest of us hackers with zero chance of flipping the club or hooking the ball. Not even if he tried. That is how he overcame his hook and became the most accurate ball striker in history.

Yes. My short game is rather good but my long game suffers with a slice that I can’t seem to overcome. With Hogan’s secret BOOM, pro golfer overnight. Ensue pro golf career immediately, get rich then buy several of my favorite watches.

There is only one Ben Hogan. Knowledge is only one factor of success, thousands of hours of practice is another and many other factors. So basically the secret has been well documented in many golf books.
