Calling BS on new iPhone 12 volume
Purchased the new iPhone 12 Pro max (finally upgraded from iPhone 6) and while streaming music to my bluetooth speaker I get a notification "Headphone Safety", and my music is automatically turned down. Happened 4 times while I was driving.
This notification cannot be turned off... Am I the only one that thinks this is BS? I'm retired Army with some hearing loss and cannot hear anything at the "safe" level. Can't Apple make this a parental control for minor children? I'm in the camp that adults live with the choices they make sigh... |

Have you gone to Settings-> Sounds & Haptics -> Headphone Safety? There are two settings there, "Headphone Notifications" and "Reduce Loud Sounds", I have both set to off and don't have the issue you're having when I have the phone at louder volumes.

New 14.3 software update took this option away
Don't know if this is only a iPhone 12 issue, but with the new 14.3 update these options were removed. Went to the Apple Forums first to check for a fix and there are many people upset...

They'll probably do a hot fix here soon for you if the pitchforks are out already.

Ahh... didn't see the update, I'm not on 14.3. I'll be avoiding this update as long as possible...

That's ridiculous. Hopefully they'll fix that soon. I have a pair of bluetooth headphones that do something similar. They just don't quite get loud enough to hear music at the volume I prefer.
