eBay AUTO ROLEX 6542 MOVEMENT & GMT-MASTER DIAL DATE CAL1035..Gilt Dial is FAKE.
Err buddies...this here is a listing from an eBay PowerSeller from Australia - wysiwyg_rare8888 ...
In the listing the Seller states... this is a vintage AUTOMATIC ROLEX MOVEMENT AND ORIGINAL GMT-MASTER DIAL for men, it’s early about 1940’S-1969 (I am not sure exactly what year it established). DIAL: nice black original GMT_MASTER dial, 4 hands, Date window and ROLEX OYSTER-PERPETUAL GMT-MASTER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER is signed on the dial. The Rolex’s crown which one sets time, date and winding. I AM ALSO OFFER THIS ITEM LISTING "Sold As Is" http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUTO-ROLEX-654...3286.m63.l1177 However...Orchi can say in absolute certainty that the GILT GMT Master "OCC" "SWISS" marked Dial... is a REDONE wannabe...FAKEEEEEEEEEE...! Less than 18 hours to go before the auciton ends...there are already many unsuspecting eBay Buyers...making wrong decisions by bidding on the item thinking that it could be genuine... BUT it's NOT Rolex Orignal 6542 GMT Master GILT Dial... There can be ONLY ONE variant of Rolex 6542 GMT Master "OCC" "SWISS" marked GILT Dial...n that is this Original variant... Here are the REAL Deals...from the VRF Dial Archive... Posted by Orchi... Posted by Buddy Stefane... Posted by Anonymous... |

with only 17 and a half hours to go, Lets see if Lady Casper can help us out with the one, and save the bidders from a huge mistake.

Err buddy Dave...thanks for helping out...
For years...the freaking counterfeiters have been trying to perfect their illicit re-production of the earliest 6542 GMT Master "OCC" "SWISS" marked GILT Dial ... They attempts have thus far been getting closer...to produce such FAKE Dials... that would be looking close to the Rolex 6542 original GILT Dial variant... BUT it's still quite easy to identify these FAKE characteristics... on these REDONE Dials... 1. The Gilt Coronet of these FAKE Gilt Dials...is of different shaped. 2. The Gilt Plot of "ROLEX" under the Coronet...is of incorrect fonts. 3. Although looking similar...the Gilt font of "S" in "OYSTER-PERPETUAL" plot is INCORRECT... 4. Also looking similar in fonts & alignment...BUT... the Gilt Plots of "GMT-Master" & "OCC" is still NOT positioned correctly. 5. The Gilt Plot of "SWISS" under 6 o'clock marker...is again INCORRECT. 6. Last but not least...the paint used on the FAKE Gilt Dial...is NOT Gold. |

Great catch buddy orchi.
Even my novice eyes could see this is a fakerooooo. I like how he seller states "sold as is" because he likely knows it is fake as well. The item is gone btw. |
