Forms of payment at an AP Boutique?
Hi all - quick question for those who have more experience with AP than I do (effectively all of you :)).. I've been contemplating the purchase of a Royal Oak for a few years now, and I'm planning to start reaching out to the Dallas boutique soon to gauge availability and wait times (I live in Houston) for a 15500 black dial.
That said, I'm wondering if anyone knows if AP boutiques offer any form of financing on purchases (i.e. 0% interest)? Both of my prior watches (an Omega and a Hublot) offered 0% interest on purchases if paid off in full within 12 months directly through their respective boutiques; this form of payment worked well for me in both instances, so I was wondering if AP had something similar? Thanks in advance for the assistance! |

If your looking for a 15500st black, then most likely be waiting at least a year with no history so that’s your 12 months to save!
I highly doubt AP boutique will offer financing. Only non corporate AP ADs might as they have their own rules but don’t think there are many of them left. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I was sending a deposit on a piece that was not going to be available for a couple months and offered to fed ex a personal check. I had done business with them before and they know me but said they could not accept. Never figured that one out. Was trying to save a trip to the bank for the wire.

Dallas boutique is Cash, Credit, wire only. I am local to this boutique and confirm. It is also unlikely you get any 15500st from them in under 18 months. They have quite a waitlist and have been giving priority to customers purchasing other pieces than stainless RO. I ended up having to get mine through Bal Harbour and wire was the only acceptable pmt method as I wasnt picking it up in person. Must be in person for cash/credit card as option.

Thank you all for the responses! I’d suspected that might be the case (both re: the forms of payment and also re: availability at the Dallas boutique - thanks AG_Watches for info on the latter). I was hoping to at least try on a 15500st in person as the last time I’d tried on a RO was several years ago at the NYC boutique (I believe it was a 15300 if I recall correctly).. figured Dallas was relatively closest (though from looking at the posts on this forum, it seems Bal Harbour is definitely regarded quite highly). I may also reach out to Zadok Jewelers as I understand they’re an AD here in Houston.
Also good point supernova re: the one year - looks like that may well end up working out hah. |
