Wearing it all the time.... Daytona that is!!!!!

After finally getting My SS BF Daytona in early March i said that it would only be worn for special occasions.

I now wear it almost constantly!!!

Unfortunately this has lead to a few minor scratches (i wouldn't call them scratches more marks).

My friends think i'm Mad for wearing it all the time but i just say "whats the point of having it if i don't wear it"???

Just out of interest how often do i need to get it serviced in the real world and what are the costs of service????

Wear that motha OUT! Then 5-7 years later, have it serviced and it'll be new again.

Servicing usually is recommended at about 5 years. Some will get more mileage than others. My Sub needed service after 5. But don't worry about the marks and scratches. Your watch will come back looking like you just bought it.

Wear it man! That's what it's for. What's the point of having a beautiful piece if you "save" it for special occasions? You only live once, and life is short!

I wear my 116520 during the week and my 116509 on the weekend. Vintage gets worn on special occasions.

If I don't wear them they usually get sold

The invoice I last saw from RUSA was close to $1100. Was just quoted $950 from an independent but Rolex trained watchmaker.

Well, on Thursday morning my Second little bundle of fun was born!!!!!

She is called Molly, is Beautiful, weighed 9 pounds and has been sick on my Daytona!!!!

Can anybody confirm if Rolex do a new born baby stomach acid test on the Daytona models.

Any advice would be appriciated.

Wear it.......

I keep mine on a small granite pedestal by the door..

That way I can drop quickly to one knee each time I enter it's realm...

........I have somebody who comes in every Wednesday to dust it off...and do the floors..

You let the same person who does your floors touch your watch? Brave man.

Just rinse it off with some warm water, mild soap and a toothbrush after such incidences. You won't have anything to worry about. Congratulations on the birth of your daughter!
