Home heating issue...

Any professional or keen amateur plumbers out there?

Two of the radiators in our bedroom aren’t working. No heat at all. Pipes going into them aren’t hot either. However, the pipes in the boiler room are hot. All valves fully open.

Have tried bleeding. One of them a tiny bit of water came out but no hissing air. The other one, no hissing or water.

The third radiator in the bedroom is working fine.

Any ideas?

Vince, it sounds like you have no water pressure going to those rads. There should be a gauge on the pipes inlet/outlet from the boiler, there should be a psi reading, I would bet you should have anywhere from 20 to 30 lbs of pressure. It sounds like it could be below that. You need to find a feeding valve or a way to feed more water into your system to increase the water pressure....this should get more water into those rads and when you bleed them again you will see more water doming from them.

Another thing to look at, make sure your circulating pump is running and bringing water through the pipes into the radiator.

Circulating pump? A common failure. They leak or seize, causing low/no pump pressure. Just a guess, I'm no expert!

Brilliant, thanks. Checked the pressure and as you suspected it was very low, so have sorted that and will try bleeding again later.

Do you have Thermostatic Radiator Valves on your radiators? If so, it could be the TRV head on the cold rad is faulty and needs replacing. Easy way of telling is to swap the cold rad TRV head with one from a rad that is working.

No, doesn’t have a TRV. Although a radiator elsewhere in the house (on a separate heating system) isn’t working does have a TRV so will check that one.
