Questionssssssss

Hi Guys,

i've been reading the forum for a couple of week now and i still!!!! have a couple of questions regarding my new sub date.(which by the way i looooooveeeee)(the most beautifull watch.....even if you have a sub date....well mine is better

the two questions are: the crown in the first position(for winding) moves only clockwise????? if i try to turn it counterclockwise..... well i cant.I have not pushed it but it does seem that if i push it something bad will happen.
The second question is the date will adjust by itself for the 30 day months or i have to do the adjustments every second month.
I have read a thread regargind this issue....but is seems that you were making jokes about it and i dont really know that much to understand the answer.

Also here are some photos of two watches my father has and i wanted you opinion and knowledge because, i have not seen any photos of the rolex anywhere else in this forum(was it a failure???) and the tudor because i have no documents what so ever.

thanks in advace

Hi...Welcome to TRF..

Your crown, when it is in the winding position, should turn in both directions.. It only winds in the clockwise direction, but it will "freewheel" counter-clockwise... If it does not, make sure that you are actually in the correct detent..they can be fussy.

Yes, you have to adjust the date on any month that is not 31 days..........the watch does not know what date it is, it only counts off numbers one at a time up to 31, then starts over again..

As for your dad's watches....the Two Tone GMT is a popular watch and many members have one...but this is the era of the Stainless Steel watch so it isn't seen much.

The Tudor is killer but looks in need of some servicing and bracelet adjustment..

You said you had a Sub Date, but that looks like a GMT Master, mate!

It is a GMT but if you read the OP's thread properly you'll know why the GMT pic has been posted
