Help Me Interpret Test Results

I just got my watch back after being serviced and they provided a printout of the test results - attached. Can you help me interpret? What do the various POS (Positions I assume) refer to? Does the RATE refer to 3 spd fast? How about the BEAT ERROR and AMPLITUDE - all good?

This is my 37 year old Datejust and it looks great!

Thanks.

It’s pretty much what you think it is. The POS are the positions. The bottom two positions are dial up and dial down and the rest are the vertical positions. Rate is seconds per day.

You watch is running great especially for a 37 year old watch. Beat error is good the position that is 0.7 being largest is okay, the tolerance for this calibre is 0.8 if memory serves.

The only thing I’d nit pick at is the amplitude difference between dial up and dial down, the amplitude should be about the same or within 10-15 degrees is acceptable. Yours has a difference of 46 degrees, however the vertical position differences are absolutely fine.

The DEL is delta which is the difference between highest to lowest rate. Yours is 3 which is excellent. MOY is the average rate you can expect which is a daily gain of 3 seconds a day which similar so is excellent, for comparison A brand new Rolex would be rated at -2/+2 a day
