My wife's DJ?
Is it allowed to ask the for help from the forum on pricing my wife's TT Ladies DJ? She would like to sell it since she does not wear it since I purchased her a DJ MOP last year. It doesn't look good on me anyhow
Thx, Mike |

Mike, from your avatar you appear to be thin enough to pull it off.
Photos would be a big help in any valuation. Congrats on your wife's MOP by the way. |

Nothing wrong with asking the value of a piece..
But if it looks like a solicitation for sales, or a sales ad........this isn't the proper TRF Board.............

No solicitation intended. I just need to get an idea of what is worth to advertise locally and maybe on EBAY.
The watch has papers & box. She put a diamond dial it a few years back. I have retained all parts paper work etc.. It is a TT E series with a Jubilee Dial. I believe that I should restore it without the diamonds. My AD says I should just sell it and let the buyer decide. The watch still has the green sticker on the back. Here is a photo. Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated. I always want to keep every watch I can, but my wife wants to sell it. Thx, Mike |

If you're going to sell it here, I'd take off the diamonds. If you're going with Ebay, you're going to be dealing with some people who don't really get it when you talk about aftermarket parts, assuming it is aftermarket. Long as it has Rolex on there somewhere most of them will be happy. Here, most run like the wind from anything that's not authentic, myself included.

I have an idea. Take it back to your AD and trade it in for a new Rolex for yourself! Drive a hard bargain, with the bad econony, now's a great time.

I would say b/w 2k and 2.5k USD for the watch. If it has been serviced, you can look at the higher end of that range and perhaps a bit more.
