Trade 2 watches for Blue 26331ST
I currently own a Rolex SD43 and 126710BLRO. I have always wanted the blue ROC but I do not have the funds to own it. Only option is to sell the 2 I own and use the funds from that to purchase the ROC. Would this be a good trade up? Or would it be better to keep the 2 I own and save up for the ROC?
I have also read from posts in 2019-2020 that the blue ROC is being discontinued. Has anyone heard anything new lately? My AP boutique only mentioned the rose gold version having a slight change but not the SS model. Thank you all! |

Depends on what you want - do you like and wear both your watches? I have them both and like them a lot. As trades go it’s probably not a bad deal as the ROC is great, however I don’t think I’d go from 2 watches to 1 personally. If you have other watches then maybe.
Also if you can save up then why not do that and sell just one of them? Oh the Pepsi would give you a far bigger profit on RRP than the SD43 at the moment, assuming you bought at RRP. |

I just thought of the extreme case where I would need funds from both to fund the purchase as it would take me a while to be able to save up for the ROC I do see your point. Losing 2 watches just to get 1. I always did want to have the diver, GMT, chrono combo |

ROC at retail or at market? SD43 and BLRO at market price for a ROC at retail may be worth considering.
Rumors about a new movement/update for the ROC have been going around for a while. Maybe this is the year it is finally going to happen. If they go with an in-house movement it's certainly not going to get cheaper. |

Its kinda impossible to get blue dial roc from boutique as a first time client and i would not pay above retail.... anyway sd43 and blro are both iconic watches to wear on a daily baisis while RoC is a scratch magnet which i guess u may still need a daily beater. I would keep the 2 and save up...

RoC is not a great only watch... if you had the BLRO and trade the SD43 + cash, or vice versa, i would do it but not both if you those are the only two you have

Thank you all for the suggestions. I will take everyone's suggestion and save up for the ROC, and hopefully by the time i have enough, the new in-house movement ROC will be released |

I love AP but would not swap those 2 for a ROC.

I believe there are suggestions that eventually AP will introduce new ROC with the new in-house movements found inside the CODE11.59.

I might sell the sd43 and add cash for the ROC, but I would not sell both for it.

At least one year waitlist for 26331st blue dial, so keep saving money for that.
Pepsi is good to keep, trade only SD43 if you have to.

I expected a really long wait time until I was offered the blue ROC but fortunately and unfortunately, I just got the call. Is this something i should pass on since i currently do not have the funds? Or give up the SD43 & Pepsi for it

I definitely have enough to purchase the ROC after selling the SD43 and Pepsi without paying interest on a CC. I just don't have enough without selling my current 2 watches

Okay...more constructively...
1) Is get the ROC to see everything side by side. Then make a decision. I’m okay with the CC float for 30 days unless you literally have no other liquidity/rainy day assets after doing this. 2) For me, I think this is a lifestyle thing (speaking purely in watches and not on debt ratios). Pepsi is a great robust all around watch. Which suits you better Pepsi or ROC? Also keep in mind ROC has no micro adjustments. 3) if ROC is your grail watch you’ve dreamed about, which it sounds like it is from your post, then I’d lock in the silly market prices on the Pepsi and SD43 and move into the AP. After this, please be more prudent and save like crazy. |

If there's literally no other cash/marketables - I wouldn't be buying a $20k+ watch. Maybe I'm too conservative...

I always wanted a mansion and a yacht. But I don't have the funds for it.
All kidding aside. Be blessed and humble with what you have and stick with it. |

Offload that SD43 and top up to ROC would be the best option.

Keep the two you have. Doesn’t sound like it’s a financially sound decision to purchase this watch

I would sell the SD43 (not hard to get) and the BLRO, take the 26331 (which is the hardest go get) and finally save for an older Pepsi, which is as nice as the BLRO and perfect for every day.
However, just do it if you still have enough money to enjoy life in the months to come. |

I've owned two 26331st blue dials and now the 26320st which is discontinued. Both are incredible watches but the blue on the 26331st is much darker and I grew tired of the different color and size subdials. The 26320 I think can also appreciate more given it is discontinued. You'd have to pry my 26320 and 15202 out of my dead cold hands before selling. Something to consider.
