Strap Sources/Shops

Hey Everyone,

My friend just bought a mid-60s Calatrava style ultra-thin AP. Any recommendations where he can find good straps? Size 19 mm. He's super into fashion and really wants some versatility with the watch. Thank you in advance.

Best,
Matt

Aaron gives excellent personal service. He exchanged many emails with me to be certain I was getting exactly what I wanted. I just ordered from him, so I'm awaiting to see his handiwork.

The last strap I ordered for a very thin watch was through Freda. They offer a variety of Camille Fournet straps that can be custom designed and ordered. I need a strap that is a custom size, so I always have to do custom ordering. The strap I got from them, a small scale alligator, was superb. Good pricing, too.

I have never purchased from Combat, but I traded some emails with Aaron and I can say he’s somebody I’d definitely want to do business with. He has a gallery on his site as well that shows off some of the amazing straps he’s done.

Other options are Delugs (more moderately priced) and Jean Rousseau (more premium pricing).

For Vintage APs, you can basically go two ways, (i) traditional with an alligator strap or (ii) contemporary for the contrast, e.g. with an 'Epsom' leather. Delugs Straps has wide options and are definitely more moderately priced. Apart from Jean Rousseau, Camille Fournet and ABF Paris are other high end strap makers that produce for PP (or AP?)..

Aaron / Combat Straps, Jean Rousseau, and Alex Crown have all been great to work with.
