Serial no. not match the warranty card date

Hi Rolex forums members,
Could anyone help me ?
I just bought a used 116713LN from the internet, when I received the watch, I found that the serial no. on the watch is V11xxxx that match the warranty card. But the problem is the purchased date on the card is May 2008 (from Italy) and I just know that V-series started on late 2008 (August ?).
Does anyone has any idea of this ?
Thanks

As you have observed, the earliest that the Forums have heard of a V serial was in late 2008..........

But that does not mean that there were others out there bought by somebody who does not frequent a Forum.

The best insurance is to ensure that your watch is authentic and accurate, as well as the paperwork (people do make misteaks) ... If it is, then you have one of the earliest known examples...

The letters and dates are only ever just a range of possible production dates based on word of mouth and other really inaccurate data.

What is your clasp code?

That will nail down thing much closer or at least you know the month the clasp itself was produced which you could assume is fairly close to the watch head production time.

Take the bracelet off and check the number on the watch against the number on the card.If it dont match then contact the seller.

if all the information about the watch including the serial number engraved in side the watch and the model number and sometimes the bracelet reference number depending on which warranty card u have..(at ur case i think its written in french)..matches what u have on the warranty card.. u will be fine...but that is strange because my deepsea is an m series and bought in oct 2008...but at ur case its not..
