116515 on leathers

Did you know this

I called today to discuss some service work with RSC St James , 116515 on leathers I enquired about the service cost £650 then a dial change £459 plus VAT , The guy then asked how are the leathers ? did I want new Leathers or to swap to Oysterflex All I heard was £400 for the oysterflex bands

Now I am sure somewhere on here it said you can’t go from leather to Oysterflex just sharing my conversation today .

Depending on the 116515 model you are able to switch from leather to Oysterflex strap depending on the clasp. Newer 116515s were upgraded to newer clasp with the notches for the OF strap.

Not my pictures, but to use as a reference:

Older clasp

Newer clasp

Strange that they did ask that, but I'm assuming your 116515 has the older clasp which would require you to purchase a newer clasp and straps.

Had one originally in leather, it's a clasp difference.
