Mid Year Release?

Hi All

I was wondering if Rolex ever makes a mid year release? With no 50th anniversary explorer, could it be coming later?

I do believe they will release an anniversary Explorer II later this year, but who knows...

No, Rolex has never done (or have extremely rarely done) a mid-year release.

The 50th Anniversary of the Explorer is out. It's the revised Explorer 2 and the "new" 36 Explorer 1.

There should be nothing further this year.

After a year of Covid they probably struggled to put out what they already released this month. I doubt there'll be more.

They just released a new Explorer 2. There’s no way in hell you’ll see a “different” Explorer 2 this year.

Didn't they release 116718LN outside of the Baselworld? I may be wrong though. I think there is a chance that they will do a 50 year Explorer considering they didn't do any visual change to the outgoing 216570.

When I say anniversary Explorer II, I mean the new one (226570) but with a special color dial or GMT hand or something. Or maybe a PM version.
