Thoughts of 116519LN owners on Meteroite dial

I was curious what current silver dial Oysterflex owners thought about the new meteorite dial. Do you think it will replace your current watch? Do you think it will be legible?

Daytona is already busy with 3 sub-dials and known for low legibility - it’s getting busier with meteorite - no thanks unless you like a busy body or desire to challenge your eyesight

I have the 116519LN with silver dial and will not be looking to move it for a meterorite version. That is not a case of bias, for I will definitely look to add a meterorite dial to my collection in the future: but I would go for it on the GMT or Day-Date. I find it does not work well on the Daytona as the dial, which is not the easiest to read anyway, becomes (at least for my eyesight) far too cluttered.

I contrast this to the far cleaner, legible dials of the GMT and Day-Date, where I think the meterorite works much better. IMHO of course!

Yes I have white gold oysterflex Daytona
I think the dial is very nice and clean plus it’s more striking than even my white ceramic 116500 due to sunburst effect

I will not want to change to meteorite dial as it will not as clean and certainly will loose sunburst effect too

For some people watches are more fashion than function and don’t actually care if telling time is easy or not, probably that’s the main audience of it

Since I got screwed out of my JM Daytona by my now former Rolex AD, I would really love the new YG Daytona Meteorite dial! I am actively seeking one from my new Rolex AD...

I have the 519LN and doubt I'll be looking to switch. I love the new meteorite, but I don't think I love it enough to deal with the headache and $ to get it. I love my existing 519LN as is!

I have the WG Daytona on OF and would LOVE to make the switch. Not sure how feasible that’s going to be in this new Rolex environment.

Current WG silver dial Daytona is hot.

As interesting as the meteorite is, seems too close to what Omega does with the Speedmaster. Perhaps Omega will try their hand at Palm Fronds now.

I have the 519 and white 6500. Initially thought I would want to switch, but the 519 is too nice as is

Nope. My 519LN will stay. Had that conversation with my AD after release. The meteorite got his attention. But the dial is so busy, I don’t want any more distraction on the dial.

Now, the 126719 meteorite, yep! That’s a hot one imo. But I won’t be chasing one. My passion for that WG reference has subsided.

I wouldn't trade my 519LN, the sunburst grey is one of the cleanest and best looking color option for the modern Daytona. Maybe I would pick up a full gold one with the Meteorite dial.

I currently have the white gold Daytona with the meteorite dial which I've had for about 5 years now which I purchased from David SW. I saw a picture of the new meteorite Daytona and was thinking of trading my white gold for a yellow gold version. The only problem is that every dial is unique and some have more Widmanstatten patterns than others. My current watch dial has lots of these patterns and looks very distinctive. Just afraid to get watch with a dial that won't compare.

When I’m contacted about it....it’ll be a game time decision for me. :)
