Offered: 126715CHNR

Hi all,

I have been on the waiting list at my local AD for a GMT II 126711CHNR for a some time. I just received an email that they have the full Everose Gold reference (126715CHNR) and I can pick it up if I want to. I have no purchase history with this AD so hopefully this would get the relationship off to a fast start!

They are obviously trying to upsell me in a big way, but I'm tempted. I am a bit concerned that it might be a little too showy. How does it wear? Also, how difficult is this piece to find at AD's given the increased popularity of PM models? I would hate to pass on it to find out later that the opportunity won't be available again.

Thanks.

Full RS are easier to obtain if you are eager enough. Call around to out of State AD's, im sure you'll find one willing to ship out of state to you without tax.

It is definitely a bit flashy but less than you would expect. IMO, it looks much better in person than photos. Definitely a statement piece, if you are worried about being too showy, this is probably not the route to take.

This feels like the following:
Buyer: "Hi I'm looking for a Mercedes C class"
Car dealer: "We have a great S class we can offer you"

In what other purchasing scenario is this even remotely considered? By all means, go for the full RG if you love it and can afford it, but the upsell and actual consideration to buy, seems crazy to me.

I would go and see. That should clarify things well enough, and you are not bound to buy it. No other opinion will do!

It’s beautiful. I think the full gold is a bit less flashy compared to the TT

The full gold I’ve seen available in the case at several AD’s. A beautiful piece but definitely not as quick a mover as some

That’s a great piece but if you think it might be too flashy, then it probably is. Like others have said, it’s a statement piece.

This is the best answer.

I picked up a YG OF Daytona for my brother. I would have never considered buying it for myself until I put it on...

I picked one up and absolutly love it. It’s a very balanced watch, and beautiful! The warm tones all flow well together, which in my opinion makes it less flashy than the TT. But at the end of the day, only buy what you feel comfortable wearing. Go try it on, I’ll give you good odds you walk out with it ;)!!!

I have one and it has wrist presence being all RG. IMO, not too flashy like YG. Warmth of RG tones down the flashiness. Great watch.

I want to add one eventually, a local AD has had one in the case for quite some time now.

A gorgeous watch, but not that difficult to come by. I’ve seen several in the case.

Quite the upsell..

Play their game, ask for a SS to go along if you make the leap.

The 126715CHNR is an awesome piece. I actually find it to be quite versatile, going well with jeans/t-shirt or dressier clothes. I chose it over the two-tone because I preferred the warmer colors and really think the bezel and dial pop more against the full Everose bracelet.

As others have stated, don’t buy it if it’s not on your “want” list. But it it’s remotely interesting to you, at least go try it on wrist.

While I was waiting on my TT Rootbeer, I saw the full Rg one at 3 different dealers. My AD had one sitting there the entire time I was waiting for mine, and this was from May 2020 until October 2020. When I returned for another watch a few months later (Feb 2021) they had another one there (the one they had for months finally sold), and the one that was there when I bought my latest watch sold just a few days after I was there. So yeah, for a while they were everywhere. Not sure how things are now.

Bottom line....if you have the cash and love it, buy it. Quite a few people seem to start with the TT version of both the Bluesy and the Rootbeer to later trade them in to get the full gold one. So if you love it when you see it, you're just skipping the stepping stone.

I for one love my TT. The contrast to me just looks great. I do like the RG rehaut better than the steel one, just gives the watch face itself an even warmer tone. RG is also less flashy than YG, so along with the black dial and the non screaming colors of the bezel, I find this watch more classy than gaudy flashy.

Can't wait to hear what you decided to do!

I've had the 126711 and have the 126715 now. Loved the 126711 so much that I upgraded.

I don't know how available these are at dealers now but the prices have gone way up on the gray market. I bought mine for around $34k (with tax included) a little over a year ago and now you can't find one for less than $40k and tax. I'd definitely make money off of it if I were to sell. I think I bought my 126711 for around $15,500 December 2018 and got about that when I traded it towards the 126715 (prices really hadn't moved). However, I noticed the 126711 has also gone up in the last year and it's hard to find one for less than $18-19k (again, without tax).

I suspect the 126715 may not be one you can readily find anymore at dealers as opposed to even a year ago.

Full RG CHNR is definitely a classy timepiece and look a lot better than TT.

It’s easier to obtain than TT CHNR but if money is no problem, I would go for it.

After you purchase this one, it might be easier for you to obtain some other sought after timepieces.

But if you want your money worth, ask for WG GMT Pepsi with Meteorite dial.

More like:

Buyer: hello I would like to buy an Audi A7 to commute.
Seller: no this one is too popular, but you could get an RS7 and then get in the list for the A7.
Buyer: I just want to commute in comfort.
Seller: sorry not sorry.
