New addition to collection

Hey guys
See my current collection
I m thinking about special order of next watch through my AD

Option that I have is Daytona white gold blue dial vs Daydate 40 rose gold olive green dial .
Both are fantastic... and certainly very classy and in demand
I certainly wear my watches to work etc and my only concern with daydate in that above combo is if it’s going to be too flashy for daily/ work wear

What do u guys think?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I say keep building the Daytona collection and go for the Daytona with the blue dial. I'm not a big Daytona fan, but I think the blue dial looks awesome and would take that in a second if I could get one right away at a reasonable price.

Variety is the spice of life, so I vote for the Daydate.

Tough choice but DD with green dial is the way I’d go if I had your collection. For sure in YG would have to see the rose gold version first. Not sure I’ve ever seen one.

DD would be a great add on to your beautiful collection. I also agree the YG might be a little flashy at the work place . Blue dial daytona is a very subtle WG watch. If your comfortable I would lean on getting the DD it’s a beautiful time piece and would add to your great collection. Good luck!

My choice would be the DD rose gold olive green, so you add both a different ref and a different color in your collection. Hands down.
It's definitely more flashy that the WG blue Daytona, but I think you have enough "steel look-alikes" already.

You need a diver.

If anything, get rid of a Daytona, not add another.

A RG DD40 would work great for you IMHO, plus it would also give you a really nice option for more formal events. A set of RG cufflinks could make it really pop for those very special occasions.

Not a fan of Daytona, rounded index and ovale counterweight are two things that kill it for me.

However, WG-blue dial is great looking!

It's always nice to have variety, however, if you find yourself liking a certain style, stick with it. I tried to diversify my collection a while back and ended up not wearing any of the new editions much. I was excited to get them, wore them here and there for a week, then went back to what my style was and what I really liked.

My vote would be for the blue dialed Daytona. What a beautiful watch.

From your two choices I'd pick the DD.

Have you considered a dive watch? A Sub lv would be a great add as well :thumbsup

I’m an MD as well. I wear my TT DJ to work in scrubs or dressed up, and will be wearing a YG/blue sub to work in scrubs or dressed up once I get it in the next 1-2 years. Probably depends a bit on your practice location/patient population, but I personally do not think YG/RG is off limits.

*EDIT* Between the RG/olive DD and the WG/blue Daytona, my preference is the Daytona and it would fit well in your collection. There are other pieces I’d choose over both options, however, but that’s just personal preference.
