Is it ok to have slightly misaligned bezel on submersible?

They even don’t bother to fix it in photos on a website.

How lucky are you? I have dot slightly to the left.

Not acceptable. Poor quality control. That said, I also have a ?deep" diving watch that has a similar problem, although less prominent. I just live with it.

Bring it into an AD or email Panerai. You paid good money your watch, it should be perfect.

Is it out by one click?

Can you spin it round and line it up?

It’s more like 1/4 of the click.

It happens. My LVc’s pip was straightened at service. I forgot to ask. RSC went ahead and adjusted it.

Alas, have not seen photos as we do for Rolex, yet ADs with a watchmaker should be able to sort it out in a timely manner. Panerai USA is VERY responsive in fixing these things in a very timely manner, and shipping is free (call then and ask for shipping materials).

Oh, that’s not easy. Looks like there are different alighment at different rotations and some of indices are aligned and some not at the same time.

So there are so many things that’s can go wrong:
1) uneven bezel ratchet
2) slightly rotated dial inside the case
3) misplaced indices on the dial
4) misplaced indices on the bezel
5) slightly rotated dial against ratchet
6) dial is not co-axial to the bezel

Panerai definitely not for OCD obsessed watch freak. Looks like I need to exhale and enjoy Italian style wabi-sabi. But for asking price I expected much better tolerances. ;))))

Root, whatever you do never buy a vintage Ferrari car. Those hand-built cars were pretty much all unique with hand-hammered panels, etc.

Yes!!! I’ll never buy Ferrari exactly for that reason. The new ones are not ideal as well. I’ve got 911 turbo s for that reason - cold, German, pragmatic, fast, all stitching, panel gaps is flawless. Oh, I couldn’t find any visible issue with that car.

Do you guys know how to let go OCD and perfectionism and start to enjoy not ideal things? ;)

What light do you use to check spidering on the paint?

When you drive ~200mph down the autobahn, paint got ruined quickly. Small dust specks turns into bullets. It’s like sandblasting. :/ but panel gaps still perfect, not like Tesla’s…

Best watch for me is Lange (could’t find any flaw with a loupe) - but panerai is so damn sexy. Can’t resist.

I have both model S and 911. Tesla is very wabi-sabi. True handmade. No body panel gaps are the same. Each one is unique. I crashed car at The Ring, no more records for me there.

It is a bit appalling that their stock photo would show the bezel being misaligned… someone needs to be fired lol.

If it’s bothering you, get it fixed. If you’re asking us, yes it’s bothering you, get it fixed.

Gentlemen, have you seen photos of submersible with rotating bezel removed? Or there is service documentation regarding that?

It is purely aesthetics, do what you feel you need to do.

Functionally, the bezel has no relationship to the dial and can be "parked" wherever you want.
