tool watch practicality: non regatta uses for Yachtmaster II

I found myself thinking, what other uses for a YM2 other than: regatta's and cooking?

so im compiling a list.....what are other uses of the YM2 10 minute flyback timer?

Uses:
1) Developing xrays the old hand tank method
2) developing BandW photography
3) timing how long i should wait to eat after taking pepsid ac
4) how long to brush your teeth with an electric toothbrush
5) job specific: time from pre medication of a patient to catheter placement
6) some cleaning compounds require a time of contact before rinsing
7) warming up my vehicle in the am
8) charging fees based on 10 min increments (lawyers)
9) timing how long one should wait post covid vaccine to determine allergic reaction
10) allocation of time to writing this list...

please add your ideas...
thanks
Tom

Nice chart and collection. (Picking up boat on friday)

Cooking
Changing trans fluid altho book is to use temperature sensor/gauge often at 40C. But that translates usually into about ~5 minutes assuming non-extreme external temps.

I find myself using my YMII timer for about everything and since the buttons are always ready to go, I just use it more in general. Timing my kids school testing for math and spelling has been a new requirement. I add water to my spa and time the water flow rate from the well. The list goes on... My biggest real world advantage to this kind of chronograph is how legible the minute dial with red arrow pointing is to read in tandem with the large red second hand. It’s shocking faster to get a precise time measurement over the traditional multi dial layout.

My best friend has had this watch for 5 years, I still don’t know how it works. I don’t think he does either. It’s strictly a show piece in YG. ;)

btw you can use any watch to time things :D

You can also count the good ol fashion way; one Mississippi, two Mississippi.
