There are only three Rolex watches I like in TT (Daytona Champaign dial, new root beer and SkyD Champaign dial). The TT Explorer is NOT in any shape of form something I like.

Not the datejust then? Think the datejust belongs on two tone more than any other model :)

I agree that two tone Explorer is a huge surprise and a beautiful watch in person. I suggest to those who haven’t seen it yet, to reserve judgement until they see it in person.

First I hated the whole idea of TT EXP I, but little by little I see that I actually like it. I am still shocked that Rolex missed the 50th Ann. of Exp II. I think that it’s very strange that Rolex made the most radical change in EXP I line instead of EXP II.

I was offered the TT Explorer but the yellow gold just didn't do anything for the Mrs. If it was Rose and Steel, definitely would have bought it.

Loving mine. My daily wearer BLRO has been in the safe since I picked this up from my AD a week ago. Don’t knock it til you try it.

I love the new TT.
Totally unexpected. Straight out of the 80s. So interesting. |

If it was a larger size I'd be pretty tempted.

I'm the opposite -- I don't think I'd want it at the larger size, but I'm very tempted at 36mm. Two-tone is a retro look, and to me that's a better fit with the more classic 36mm size. This smaller watch also dials back the "in your face-ness" of two-tone. I could see this being a very good look worn a little loose like a bracelet with a few actual bracelets beside it.

Personally I think TT makes the watch too flashy and takes away from the simplistic beauty of the all SS. Especially the dial with everything outlined in gold.
It makes a great smaller dress watch however.

Personal preference. Rolex know how to do TT and the Exp is another fine example.

I actually like the TT Explorer a lot. Just having a hard time at the 10 K price point. Just doesn't seem right for an Explorer. But I do get why.

I saw some mockups for a full gold Explorer, which I really liked. I have my name down for the steel version and will reserve judgement on the TT until I'm able to see it in person

Looks great AJ! I can't wait to see one in person. It was certainly an unexpected release. I just love the Explorer line in general.

I really don't see many women buying this, honestly. Not too many combos that are further off-trend than SS/YG w/black dial. Still a rose gold world when it comes to women's watches, and those that do have YG would typically have lighter dials these days.

I would’ve liked it if it was full gold. Two tone has never looked good to me

The TT version looks great,
Hopefully in future we'll see a TT Exp 2. |
