Need Help. Potential fake?
Hey Guys
Im relatively new to Rolex but have recently made the plunge into the owners club (authenticated). A couple of days ago I spotted another Rolex among an estate sale however the image was grainy (see attached). The lot was very cheap and had some other items included that i was in market for so i purchased. It is a couple of days off delivery but was curious as to the likelihood of being authentic. Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

This is not the correct forum to post anything relating to fake.

Still, that's a terrific picture the OP shares here. Something for the experts... (I almost spat on my keyboard.)

You can almost count the pixels in that photo.

It's like you asked a drunk to paint a Rolex watch.

It's fake. If it were real it would be a big hunk of white gold (its a day date, this is made in precious metal only).. a big hunk of gold does not pass though a sale unnoticed.
..and I can tell from your pic it's fake too but we won't go into why. |

Also, at the very least, shouldn't the hands (if original) have lume since the dial does? |

Like Sharkfactor said, a heavy gold watch doesn't usually go unnoticed.
When you get it, post pics, way, way, better pics, in the Watchout part of the forum.

Depending on how "cheap" the lot was, I may have taken a chance as well. Nowadays, pixeled photos usually mean they don't want you to see it up close.

Probably a good idea to find out authenticity before buying it.

Hard to say but it could be authentic. Can you post better quality pictures once in your hands? Looks like there is quite a bit of gunk on that bracelet, not sure a fake can last that long in order to build that sort of 'patina' LOL
