I want to buy this but not sure if its real
Hi guys, I know very little about Rolex but I've always wanted one and to be honest this cheap one has caught my eye. I know its rough around the edges and probably has a repo dial but for the money it suits me perfect and I like it. But as I said I know nothing about Rolex. Do you guys see anything that's not right or is it a knock off? I tried searching the forum for a 6549 oyster perpetual but found nothing so it makes me worried. Anyway, all help is really appreciated, thanks.

I’m not a huge expert, but I think what you have presented is a genuine Rolex dial, but not one that came on a 6549.
If so, don’t let it hold you back if you like the watch and the price is right. It was common to swap dials on four-digit Rolexes back then, and doesn’t affect value much. The case looks a little over polished, but the movement looks clean. |

Dial and hands are much later, the rotor has been replaced on the movement. It has a lot of much later parts on it.

The hands, bezel, case, dial and movement all appears to be genuine.
Just not sure if they all original to the same watch.... |
