You can't beat the Steel Sub

I just washed this and took the wrist shot. I noticed that is STILL very dirty. I use this watch everywhere and wear it hard. It can handle it. Proud of every little scratch. It's my favorite Rolex watch and not designed to be babied.

It was my first one in 1979 and I will probably get a new one soon! Cool watch and no pun intended but it’s timeless!

Yes it is.

It was in production for 50 years. 50 years. Just think about it. Same case, same crown, just subtle changes during that time period. That is amazing.

That's why it's THE "quintessential Rolex".

A great looking watch and set up to do most anything the owner desires or nothing. A discussion could be had that the SS Submariner is the Iconic Rolex. It is where I started with Rolex and probably where I will end up.

Agree, can't be a steel Sub. Which steel Sub is a different thing altogether though...

I agree. I have watches "below" and "above" this watch in terms of brand, materials, etc. I wear no watch more than my 126610LN. It is truly the "swiss army knife" of watches. It will always be the "hub of the wheel" in my collection.

Absolutely! Lovely photos Juho, and glad you're wearing your Sub as it made to be in Geneva! Nice to hear that you don't baby it and aren't bothered by scratches...nor am I, and my old 14060 2-liner has a lot after 25+ years as my everyday watch! It has taken everything I've thrown at it. May you wear your Sub for many more years in good health...

Congrats, great watch, but there are many many watches far superior.
