New Watches form Rolex Wishlist
Hey Everyone,
So now that there isn't any scheduled upcoming Rolex releases it seems like a great time to muse and speculate on what Rolex could release or even what people think they should release. What do people think they could release? What would be your wishlist for something they should release? My wishlist would be a great dial green bezel stainless Daytona. That would be a crazy cool watch! |

Mabe they could just release some mens watches they currently produce so dealer's could have some in there displays. And customers could buy some?
That would be great!

Ok, so none of these are real speculations, more wishful thinking...
-OP 34 returns to its roots as the Air King -34mm Oyster case also used for first manual wind Oyster in decades (maybe another "Air" series revival) -Explorer I white dial -Explorer I in full white gold, with white dial (or, more likely, YG w/very dark green dial), to commemorate 70th anniversary of Everest ascent -Air King 40mm retired; replaced by another "Air" series, using OP41 case and Cellini 3165 movement with subsidiary seconds hand (true pilot fashion) -SkyD movement used in Cellini case in attempt to challenge others' dress/travel watches -Return of the DJ T-O-G |

How not sure how a sky dweller movement would go into a Cellini case and it needs a fluted bezel really to get enough grip to turn it. Plus it’s very thick. Personally I’d like a full gold sd43. :) |

I don't see the SkyD movement going into a current Cellini case, rather a new one being built around it ;). And it wouldn't need a fluted bezel per se, as long as one could grip it. But, this being by far Rolex's most complicated movement, it would be a good base from which to try and elevate Cellini's game.

As it's all just a fantasy wish list -
- Top of my wish list is a modern release of the 1655. A fraction bigger than the original - maybe 40 or 41mm - but essentially a reissue with modern build quality. And a 31xx movement would be nice! ;-) - A white dial Explorer I in 39mm. - A new 40mm Turn-O-Graph, complete with red date wheel. - I'd like to see a 'single red' (or maybe a 'double red') option on the Sub. - I'd also like to see Rolex branch out a little into new materials (well, new for Rolex!). Something like ceramic, or grade 5 titanium. Nothing too way out in terms of watch design, but just maybe offering something like the DSSD in all G5 titanium with a unique dial or something. - Lastly (and yes, I know it's a cliché) but I really would love to finally see the elusive and much anticipated GMT RONR "Coke" get released, provided they can execute the red properly this time. The thing is, Rolex don't really look backwards - they just keep slowly evolving what they have. Apart from the BLRO, the nearest to a historic nod that we've had in recent years in the red line on the SD43, so I'm not holding my breath for any of my wishes. Fun to think about though. |

Or just take complete control and have nothing but boutiques ran by Rolex. I know what ppl say about Rolex as a company when it comes to money but just take all of it while giving us true watch enthusiasts a realistic chance. I cant even find a place to try on a RG DD much less buy one. Sorry went off topic there a tad. Just frustrated

We all know that’ll never happen… but it would be just the right look for a new YM42 on OF.
And what better way to celebrate the line’s 30th next year?! Platinum case, I’ve blue dial, deep blue ceramic bezel and OF band. |

I think Rolex should focus on fulfilling the demand for their current range, although I suspect someone at the top of the Rolex tree is already thinking about releasing even more models that nobody can buy. Maybe they should create a few grey dealer special editions considering that’s where most of them end up anyway, lol!!

I wish Rolex releases something similar to the vintage Rolex dress watch below.

The SkyDweller seems likes it’s too big for itself, especially as it tries to straddle the sports and dress watch categories. Top heavy and the there’s nothing soothing about the dial. Not sure they can make it smaller, say a 41mm case, as it would just crowd the dial and require redesigned movement. An impressive watch to be sure, just not sure if it has been the hit Rolex expected
