BB58 lume pip fell out.

Looks like my pip fell out. Google searches indicate I'm not alone on this one. The AD says I have to pay to have it fixed. They called tudor directly and apparently its considered cosmetic damage. So if you want to spend over $100 to replace your bezel due to poor quality I highly recommend the BB58. If you don't want to replace it, maybe it's best to avoid the watch all together. The watch took no impact or damage to cause the issue.

How old is your BB58? Black or blue?

Wow that sucks, sorry to hear of your about your experience. Through your research, has anyone else who also had a similar experience manage to successfully have Tudor accept it as a warranty repair?

BB58 lume pip fell out.

Giving it the ultimate faux vintage look.

Full disclosure I have one too. Unfortunate.

I would contact an RSC directly, there's a good chance they'll treat you better than your AD.

Seems to be a mixed bag. Some seem to have the same experience as myself, some seem to have had warranty coverage.

BB58 lume pip fell out.

Happened to the wife’s BB58N at about a year.

Rectified by Beverly hills RSC no charge.

I'll see if I can give them a call tomorrow. My fear is the replacement will fail and then I'll throw the watch through the ADs front window.

Exhibit A.

This seems to be a known issue and they shouldn't tell one customer that it's a fee to fix meanwhile having other customers getting it repaired at no cost through the RSC.

Personally, I wouldn't listen to the AD, most don't know crap (at least any I've dealt with). Contact manufacturer direct; if I'm a betting man, you'll have it fixed for the cost of shipping.

Do yourself a favor and contact a RSC NY or Dallas directly to send in your watch. As others have mentioned I’m sure this will be covered under warranty.

Isn't that normal to have a "recessed" pearl on these models as this photo shows? Or am I mistaken?

It's not normal and it is a design fault, the lume material falls out of the pip. Submariners dont have this problem because Rolex thoughtfully capped the their pips with sapphire.

For the OP, once you replace it, maybe put a tiny dob of superglue on the pip so it doesnt fall out again

Here’s the difference. You’re dealing with an AD. Not an RSC directly. Cut the middle man.

Tudor Black Bay 58 Blue

If it helps I had this issue. Whilst on holiday I looked down at my new watch and noticed the pip gone. No contacts or anything , just fell out. I contacted the AD who said send it back to Tudor (typical). So I went one better and contacted Tudor / Rolex head office at James square London and a completely different attitude and level of service was immediately evident. I quoted the problem mentioned on this forum and rather than being defensive, when I popped in the technician present said it was actually an issue with that watch (the blue) and that the fix was free. Part sent for and replaced with no drama. St James London are outstanding and I could not recommend them highly enough , outstanding. And what a premises
