Rolex Engraved Rehaut:

I like it, but I also like most things about the new six digits.

I love it. It always looks empty on my much-loved 2006 platinum yacht master. I love it on my blnr and rhodium YM.

Have to say that I don’t really notice it when wearing my watches.

I like it. If they never did it, would it be something I had hoped for? no, probably not. But now that I've seen it, it makes me appreciate variations that have them. Bought a 116233 early 2000s without it, returned it, and look back and wonder what I was thinking. It just looks naked to me.

Works better with some models than others.

I never really even see it. All of the extraneous text on the dial bothers me more.

I like it, it's one more thing to look at from the watch.

Not a fan of extra unnecessary branding.

If they had shifted some of the other text there from the dial, it would have made more sense to me…

I have always really liked it. I think it's a nice detail that you can only really see when you look very close at the watch.

I don't see it unless I look for it. All my Rolex watches have engraved rehauts so I suppose I just look past it. Not bothered either way but I think it looks good on the watches I own.

Isn't the engraved rehaut an anti counterfeiting measure?

Allegedly. Works well in that regard though doesn't it!?

Personally I really like. It's not overtly noticeable, but there in the detail if you look closely.

Next step: mini Rolex crowns covering the lugs and case sides.

I really enjoy it. Had the 16610 without it and now the 124 with it. I can’t say it’s a make or break for me, but if you’re giving me a choice to have it or not, I’d say sure why not. Getting nerdy here but my favorite part is the laser engraved crown logo that is barely apparent.

Cannot really see mine, so no opinion, due to the domed crystal which I love. ref. 116660

I'll be the minority but it's nothing I love. My 5 digit without, looks a lot cleaner IMHO

I used to not like it when I had my 114270 Explorer (early version, no rehaut) as I was all about the simplicity of design back then.

With a 116710LN GMT2, there is no choice but I have come to like it as I can check whether it is indeed my watch without removing the bracelet as the serial number is part of the rehaut. Plus, it suits the luxurious look of the six-digit GMTs.
