how often do you adjust your watches?

Hello everyone,
Ive had my M serial Daytona for five months now and it gains a very consistent 2 seconds every day which I think is fantastic. Since I got the watch (and since Ive discovered the forum) I ve obsessed with checking its accuracy on a regular basis. I wasnt so obsessive/compulsive with my DJ and manually wound 1953 oyster.
Now 2 seconds a day equals 1 minute a month and Ive tend to "correct" my Daytona once a month.
How often do you guys (and gals) adjust yours?

About once a month or longer now retired my life is not run by the absolute second. But whats in a minute or so either way to reset once a month or longer.

I might pull the crown once or twice a week to let satellite time catch up with my TOG.

The watch is getting pulled out of rotation for the summer, and a trip to RSC should set it closer to COSC.
At that point, I'd be inclined to set it once a week, on Sunday morning.
Monthly? Sure, if the watch could maintain +2/day. It'd be my pleasure.

I check time.gov every week or so to see where it is so I know what position to put it in for the next couple nights to correct its error. Long as I stay on top of it it stays dead on without pulling the crown.

I am not a fanatic for accuracy and I don't worry unless the watch is 5 minutes fast or slow.

One of my DJ was set 30 days ago and when I took it of today it was 7 seconds slow. I set this one when I have to switch the date at the end of some months.

My other DJ is running -7 per day and I set it half a minute ahead. That way I only have to set it once a week. Then I know I have the correct time within half a minute. (I am considering to have it adjusted but have not gotten that far yet.)

I have an Omega Constellation which is almost as accurate as my DJ. -1s/day. This I set when I need to adjust the date.

I have several more watches and clocks and I run them as much as I can. I usually accept about a minute error per day on ordinary watches but then I need my DJ to set them.....

Used to do it a lot, now i don't bother that much, maybe once a month, but as padi says, being a minute out means nothing, because you go and time it against the atomic clock, but everyone else isn't, the clock in work is fast, the train clock is slow, etc, etc. We live in a society that isn't accurate, there is a good two to three minute leeway between the clocks that control your life (work, bank, trains, tv, etc)

Set it 20 seconds slow, in about 10 days it will be spot on and in another 10 days it will be 20 seconds fast then just hack it for 40 seconds and start again.

+2 seconds per day is excellent BTW.

I usually only set it when I change watches........ varies, but I would say about every month....

This is exactly the approach I take. My DSSD losses about 3 secs a day, so I set it ahead 1 minute and over time, as it losses, it tends towards absolute accuracy and then starts to fall behind. When it has lost about 1 minute I reset. I am a stickler for getting the minute hand to line up with each minute marker on the dial simultaneously as the second hand reaches the 12 position. I would prefer to have this precision and sacrifice the small amount of timing accuracy.

I have to set mine every two days since I wear them only for two days a month on a rotation basis.

When I travel, which is very frequently, I set it when I get to my destination and then set it when I get home.

Do you also note how you store them, crown up, flat, or crown down? just curious.

The thing is... they would likely be much more accurate if I just let them alone. However, I rotate them, wear one more then the other for a few days, run with my Sub... So by no means was it a controlled experiment. I sleep with a watch on every night... The other is typically face up, or 12 o'clock lugs vertical; depends on how it ends up in its bedding (around a soft cylinder in a hoodie pocket). I am aware the Subs erratic speed is due to my running.... I just synced both tonight at 11:50pm and will conduct a more controlled and descriptive timing log.
Ill report back in a week with the results.
