Home safety box for your Rolexes and recommendation?

I have been always keeping the few Rolexes I have at home inside a drawer of my desk and now am considering buying a safe to store them and other valuables. Just wonder if many here also do that and if anyone could recommend a high quality, medium-sized safe? I only have 5-6 waches.

Make sure the safe is mounted or attached significantly to the house. Otherwise you have just consolidated your valuables and a thief and just take it away and work on opening it later. Depending on your living space, the most practical and cost conscious is a free standing Gun Safe. You can get a good one on sale in the 1K range. No matter how you decide to go make sure it is fire rated for a good time and temperature. Let us know what you decide.

I’m with William, you can get what’s considered a gun safe that can contain many things. (Like watches, documents, etc) and also have it mounted. What pay 1200 plus for something that can easily be lifted. Also on the mounting, unless you are going into concrete, it’s not that difficult to break these free from a wood / subfloor attachment so make it more difficult to move. And yes, my subfloor is concrete.

I also use the gun safe method and it is well fortified. I only have one watch out at a time and its the one I'm wearing. I never leave them lying around.... that's asking for trouble.

I invested in a pre owned heavy duty Chubb safe, took 3 guys to move into position on a solid concrete ground floor. In the UK there are many companies who refurb and sell safes so the choice is massive and price are reasonable. My advice get a big one that is to heavy for burglars to carry off!

Try a local safe company that carries new and used safes. Look for one that has a TL-30 rating. They come in all sizes. Gun safes are pretty easily defeated. They are considered residential storage containers.

If you have the money and want a real safe get one of these…their starting model is where other manufacturers top models don’t reach. Granted you are at another level with this safe but considering what you are storing inside it makes the decision easier. The weight on these is heavy for a reason they are built like a tank and require proper weight support where they are put in so it doesn’t fall through your floor…this is a serious level safe but not the crazy money for the watch dedicated safes that are not as good as this safe
