Icon5 What has your Rolex damaged?

Besides bank balance.

My DSSD scratched my drivers side window a while back and scratched the door handle fake carbon fiber look of the same car. Every time I went for my seatbelt it banged the window.

What about you?

Left a few marks on my doors leather from resting hand while driving. Nothing major but needs something special to correct. Detailer is coming in a couple days. :D

Mine have damaged untold car access points, steering wheels etc. On the flipside, door frames at home or when out and about seem to jump out and hit whichever Rolex I am wearing

Finally, my wife and I are continuously having watch battle “scrapes”. I wear watches on my right wrist since I first started wearing my first timex aged 5, while she wears hers on the usual side (left) so when walking together we often clash watches…

1) My impression on people who wear an Apple Watch (it is not a watch, it is a notification device) with dress shirts or jackets or worst a suit.

2) Expectation of customer service. This is mostly because I live 15 min away from an RSC. Not only it is super convenient but I am always impressed with the way they treat folks dropping off the watches.

Bingo.

My appreciation of other brands has been severely damaged and my ability to tolerate the wearing experience of other brands' bracelets/clasps is now destroyed beyond repair.

Well my old trusty 16600 SD almost damaged my wrist but no matter the material the watch band is made from the weakest link will always be the spring-bars. But in general they are almost bullet proof I had a spring-bar clasp or a lug-pin fail but in fairness they are not designed to have almost 15 stone dangling suspended over the side of a boat. It was around late1999- 2000 trying to get back into the pick up boat after a dive in the Red Sea. I started to take my BC off when the Egyptian deck hand just pulled up my BC and left me suspended by my SD bracelet. It was good job the spring-bar failed one SD lost to the abyss but I still have both my wrists. Watch was replaced by my dive insurance and spent hundreds of hour underwater as a working tool and now over 20 years old and still ticking strong.

But for me now the most precious thing we have is life, yet it has absolutely no trade-in value not even for watches. And yes could tell a few more tales about my diving adventures and a few close encounters underwater. But but for me at the moment, the most important thing is everyday I beat my own previous record for number of consecutive days I've stayed alive.

My Rolex has stripped me of my impeccable reputation as a modest and intelligent man. Because is it possible to be healthy and spend so much money on a ticking piece of steel?

A couple of times I hooked the clasp on the leather steering wheel in my car. Fortunately, the wounds were not fatal to the cars.

The left side of my old MacBook Pro. Was photo editing and my wrist made significant contact with the computer and provided a nice little divot.

I have long arms and broad shoulders. I can’t wear an off the rack shirt with the sleeves down. So not an issue.

SD 43 also.

My James Cameron took a knock out of a sheetrock wall at work. Was still getting used to the height and banged it into the wall on accident. The watch is no worse for the wear save the smallest knick in the bezel. May get a new bezel in a few years when it goes in for its 1st service, until then it’s a reminder to be aware of surroundings lol.

You could easily resolve the "watch battle scrapes" by walking on your wife's right side, rather than her left side...

Some bits and pieces of my kids’ skin when I tried to lift them up. More like a scratch and left a red mark. I’m pretty sure it’s from the rotating bezel on my submariner.
