Pam 323 or IWC big pilot as next watch
Hello everyone
I know I know this is Rolex forum but having owned 2 subs and Breitling Chronomat and Sea Dweller on the way, I am already eying for my next acquisition but can't really make my mind up. Help is required here Both Pam and BP have rich history and I aim to add one of them to my collection. Pros and cons please. Cheers Have a good weekend. |

I'd go Pam323, nice 10-day movement, sandwich dial......

Big Pilot.
I only have a PAM388 now but have had others. The BP remains my most surprising impulse watch purchase and I still like it a lot. Feels like it’s worth the money especially the date version. Might get a blue one too. |

Both brands belong to Richemont, therefore don’t buy any of these unless you enjoy paying for the Caviar of nepotistic executives.

BP for me, I bought mine with a little doubt and just love it, easy to read, comfortable, just a classic imo.

No contest for me - Big Pilot.
Panerai make very nice watches but somehow none of the models I tried looked good on my wrist. |

Has anyone here been following the BS from Panerai on their "in house" but not quite movements? I follow perezcope on Insta and he seems spot on and has incredible resources to back up. I am personally done with that brand anyway.

I like the PAM683 but could never follow through with buying one, the above and the previous brooklyn bridge fiasco makes it hard for me to buy one, especially at retail prices.

I would look for a 323 dot dial… it matches the circular indicator.
It is pretty thick for a “dress watch”. As someone mentioned earlier I would look at the 233, but that is a luminor. And the 323 is a 47mm auto radiomir. As far as BP goes, the 5002-01 is the best dial, the petit prince blue dial is nice as well. You have to get a strap that fits well otherwise the crown can dig into your wrist.
