Dial colour swap

Found out over the weekend from an AD. You can request to swap the dial colour to whatever dial of your choice after a year of ownership. You pay the difference and may get a price adjustment depending on what you are swapping it for.

This is applicable to day dates and date just models. I think this is kind of cool. SA said for example if you want the green/diamond dial for the 36mm DD then it cost around 7k to upgrade. Steep but to have the ability to do it.. kind of nice!

I’m not sure how this would work… so any rose gold DD40 can be swapped for a green dial which goes for a lot more money? If true surely green dial DD would drop in value and non green dial rise?

And the RRP for all is pretty much the same for all so can’t imagine a price adjustment would apply to this?

Just shows that forking over an extra $10,000 to a secondary reseller just to get olive green vs. chocolate is pure hype and hysteria. Free market at work.

You ALWAYS could do, I swapped out most of my DJ's in the 1990's at the AD, quite often at point of purchase or soon after. It didn't cost more than a few hundred pounds then. Would often upgrade batons to Roman numerals etc.

They keep the old dial. But the possibility has always been there. The swap is at the discretion of the RSC.
