116610lv for JCDSSD 126660

Hey all,

Dealers in the UK are paying about 14k for the Hulk.. I purchased this piece at retail for 6k. The JCDSSD are selling at 14k too. Would I be daft to just do a straight swap?

Two great watches. Personally, I prefer the JC DSSD. Go with what you want. What will you enjoy wearing more?

DSSD but the fact that I probably won't be able to own the hulk again bothers me

I’d go with the one that’ll bring you the most joy when looking at it on your wrist. You definitely can go back and buy another hulk, but it’ll cost ya

I'd go with the DSSD because the Hulk has had its hype now, the DSSD is yet to come and id say it's inevitable sooner rather than later.

Both are great references. I see the JC as more of a rotation piece than a daily wearer

I would keep the Hulk. The current prices are only going up and it is a fun watch to wear and own.

I own and love both but am daily wearing the 126660 JC at present. Having said that the LVc is special for sure. Regarding your question, I think body frame/wrist size come into play in your decision.

They're both dive watches, but that's pretty much the only similarity between the two so this is a difficult one.

Your last posts confirms that you will most likely regret selling the LV. So if it's possible, add the JC to the collection and keep the LV. Otherwise, just keep the LV.

I wouldn't swap a discontinued model for one in production.

I own and love both , if you have the wrist to wear the JC it's hard to beat some people complain about it's comfort and size but personally I find it super comfortable.

I wouldn't do it.
A 116660 would be a better choice unless there's a particular reason why it has to be a 126660

Keep the LVc. You bought it at retail, it has your name on it, and if you ever sell it you’ll never get another one without paying much more (and it will not have your name on it). I’d keep the LVc and find another way of purchasing the DSSD.

+1.. from a value perspective as well, I don't see the JC being worth more than a Hulk. Ever.

How come. At one point the Hulk wasnt a popular watch. The JC is also now commanding value not that much below the Hulk and it's a lot closer to MSRP than the Hulk is. Hulk has also already been discontinued whereas the JC hasn't so the hype is yet to come. There is also the fact that it's Rolex's most advanced dive watch and associated with an individual who only has a finite life span. To me it's a much better prospect. Plus I have one so bias lol

Submariner is just more iconic than the Deep Sea IMO. Although very similar in design, I just don't really see a hype for the Deep Sea developing even after being discontinued. Maybe hype to try and profit but I don't think it'll be a sustained hype like the Hulk.

Edit : I might be biased as I have a Hulk LOL
