Daytona Meteorite 6 iterations. Is it too much ?

The Daytona meteorite comes in Yg, Wg, Rg, and oysterflex. Don’t you think it’s too much for this watch ?

It’s a lot to produce of an already very rare dial to acquire.

I remember reading an article on the luxury market which I can't recall for reference. But the context was perceived exclusivity. Whereby, luxury brands create a sense of customisation and exclusivity by offering items in different colours, sizes, appearances etc.

Makes the customer feel they are getting something more unique to them and it allows the brand to grow revenues without flooding the market with product that all looks the same which diminishes the view on exclusivity which can hurt sales longer term.

Wonder if Rolex is doing a similar thing as their dial and bracelet combinations have skyrocketed in the past few years.
