Got the Call- 126334, Slate Diamond Dial

Just got the call for a DJ 41, Slate Diamond dial. I wanted it on the Oyster band but they only have it on Jubilee, should I get it anyway?

Congratulations in advance Rick.

I’m normally a proponent of “buy what you want” but in this case, I’d urge you to give the jubilee a go. It’s super comfortable and it suits this reference to a T. You can always swap out to an oyster down the road

Thanks Brian, yeah I guess getting anything at retail right now is a gift so I should probably go for it.

while i'm not really a fan of diamond markers (or datejusts for that matter) - i think it actually looks better with the jubilee. if you love it, get it. easy enough to swap a bracelet down the road. if you've got reservations, then just skip it. not the hardest watch in the world to source...

We all have our personal preferences for Datejust configurations (mine for this reference would be smooth bezel and jubilee). I would only consider how likely you would regret it if you "settled" for this version. If you are being honest with yourself and think you'd always look at this watch on your wrist and wish it was different, then don't buy the watch. Obviously, only you can answer that.

I bought my DateJust 41 from WOS at Heathrow Airport, the original came with Oyster bracelet but I wanted on Jubilee, SA changed it for me with some extra charge.

Ask your SA, he/she might be able to change it for you if there is oyster bracelet on another DateJust. I think it's the same ref. No.

You might not be satisfied. I had the same thing happen to me.
Same watch. Blue dial.
Had it a couple of months, and just couldn’t bond with it.
Best to get exactly what you want.

Go check it out, you can always decline. I agree with the others, this dial looks best with the jubilee

This one on the jubilee is one of my favorite DJ configurations.

Jubilee fits this combination perfectly. My friend has the SS bezel oyster rhodium dial, and in that oyster looks fantastic. Makes it basically a nice sport watch.

But with fluted bezel, diamond markers, jubilee is a great bracelet to make it a fine elegant watch that can be work with a suit and formal events. I would say go for it.

Personally I would not. Buy the one you originally wanted as previous experience tells me you will never be fully happy with the purchase.

I would stick with the oyster…too much bling with the jubilee, fluted bezel and diamond markers.

As others have said don’t compromise and get what you originally wanted

I usually prefer Oyster, but prefer Jubilee in this format

Try it on. If you’re not convinced then pass it up..

Jubilee and DJ are made for each other.

The fact the AD has the jubilee is a nice treat. Get it!

I think it looks better on oyster, but again personal opinion. Up to you to pick up.
