Got the text that that a non date rolex was mine for the taking (not a sub)

I started the day bored in the clinic so I was just taking pix of my BLRO when I got a text from my ever lovable and reliable AD

I wanted the white one but who would pass the opportunity to own this beauty.

My total wait for it was 2 yrs and 1 day, I told her I wanted the SS Daytona the day I picked up the BLRO on Sept 3, 2019. It was well worth the wait!

Here are some pictures of my Daytona and his 2 yrs older cousin Pepsi

I see you also tried on the Tudor Chrono black dial. While obviously not a daytona, how do you find the watch compared to the Daytona?

Congrats! I have the opposite combo — 116500 white dial and BLNR on oyster! Can’t beat a Daytona + GMT combo. Enjoy!

The heft and size is way different than the Daytona but I actually love it. Daytona is more refined and the Tudor is more rugged. Same but different aesthetics.
It’s also on my list and would have taken it home if It were the white one available.

Great news Congrats
You are very lucky to be able to buy for $12.400 instead of $38.000
Your AD is all for customer service and above money.

Yeah, I think the black dial is nicer than the white.

Seriously considering doing a swop.

I can't really understand why Rolex went to that big ceramic bezel on these models but the market clearly says I am in the minority. I always liked the white dial over the black dial in the pre-ceramic models but for the current model I think the black dial is definately the better looking watch.

It can look big in some pics, depends on lens etc, but it's actually a very small bezel.

I agree. I really like a ceramic bezel insert when it’s framed by a bezel, but the old bezels looked better on the Daytona.
