A Lange Shone 1815 Chrono vs. Lange 1 World Time?
Hi Guys,
I'd like to hear some of your opinions for A Lange Shone watches for my below questions: 1. What would you pick between 1815 Chrono VS. Lange 1 world time (new released in 2020 version)? Why? I've heard the date window is a must to have for A Lange Shone, but I did some research that 1815 also has pretty cool movement, but again totally different look Lange 1 families. 2. between the world time pieces, would you prefer the new black dial and white gold case or the original pink gold with argente case? Any additional comments or feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you so much |

Very personal choice. Both watches are great but the 1815 chrono just pips it for me for the movement alone. I cannot think of a better chronograph at this price range in all of the modern offerings.

Welll…you cite Chrono and big date….that equates to the Datograph
This was my thinking … but to answer your question directly; I would choose 1815 Chrono over timezone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The 1815 Chronograph is perhaps the best top tier chronograph of any manufacturer. The pushers and flyback function are so precise and something special to experience. It has the identical movement and same incredible “little city”view from the back as the Datograph. Though you didn’t mention the Datograph as an option, it obviously adds the date window you seem to desire, but it does this by an increase in thickness that I find too noticeable on the wrist for daily comfort.
The Lange One features that iconic date window you like and is a dial that’s quintessential Lange. But the backside isn’t near as inspiring as the 1815 Chronograph and it’s such a very different watch that it’s really a matter of your personal taste as to which one to choose. In my case, I was never tempted by the Lange One because I don’t favor its small, offset clock. I prefer the full dial of the 1815 as well as Arabic numerals rather than Roman numerals. Also, date windows tend to present an extra nuisance for me because I wear different watches and the date always needs resetting. I suppose that’s why the 1815 Chronograph was such an easy choice for me. Best of luck with your decision! |

1815
Not a fan of the L1 world time. I think the busy dial detracts. Original L1 is the best among the Lange 1 offering imo |

The Lange 1815 Chronograph movement is otherworldly and I would argue that it's the finest chronograph movement ever produced. If you're in love with the big date, which I'm not and I frankly think GO does a better job with it, you can always go for the Datograph, although I personally detest dates and it adds to the thickness of the watch.
