1016 Gilt Question

Hey everyone. I'm looking for a gilt 1016. Found this one. Just a bit unsure about the hands under UV. Any input on the hands/any other issues people notice would be greatly appreciated.

This is the link for the sale page.

Thank you!

The hands situation seems pretty clear to me, but it needn't be a deal-breaker if you love the watch.

Do you like the brownness of the dial? The price is on the high end for a 1016 and most of it is probably due to the “chocolate.” For that price you could probably have the pick of the litter for gilt 1016 so I’d really make sure you like that dial.

Hands are later. Probably from the 70’s. Correct Explorer hands though which is nice.

I do love the chocolate tones. Just waiting on some videos to see if it looks more tropical or just damaged.

That's a good point. For the price, it may be better to just buy a mint/glossy gilt. Definitely something I've been thinking.

And thank you for the information about the hands! Glad to know they're original at least.

As I mentioned, the hands don't necessarily need to concern you. But just to be clear, I think @roh123 indicated that they're NOT original.

Sorry, meant original as in not relumed.

They are replacements. I would consider to relume them to match color and glow.

Don't think I would relume the hands if I got this watch. I'd prefer non-relumed replacements as long as material is original from Rolex.

However, this just may not be the watch for me.
