Pssst- Seiko peoples, step in here for a moment-
Just arrived, my new Seiko Titanium GMT Perpetual Calendar. This is a Japanese domestic market only Seiko so I had to order directly from Tokyo. It is a quartz watch that is accurate to +/- 20 seconds a year! Plus it will adjust for leap year and months less than 31 days till the year 2100. And as is the case with most Seiko watches it sports some brilliant lume. It is model number SBQJ017 and comes from Chino watch in Tokyo for a buck or two less that four hundred

Hrmm - this is interesting. I went looking up info about the movement, and I came across this watch. Appears to be from 1999, the bezel text and dots look super close to the current Rolex GMT.

yeah, that is interesting, I wonder if that is a US model or Japanese model. I think it also looks like an Omega GMT, which is probably fashioned after the Rolex.
