16710 love affair continues
Got my 16710 Z serial about 1yr and a half ago. Still my favorite piece in the collection and the one I wear the most often. Was able to get all inserts for it pretty soon after I acquired it. I remember how much I loved it in Coke mode. Went I went to Pepsi, it was like a whole new experience that I thought would never get better. This week I finally attempted to swap out the insert myself. After some very sore thumbs and a lot of swearing I was successful and put the LN insert in. Goddam click spring!! Anyway I must say what a difference. Seems so minor when you think about it but wow. Completely different look. The red GMT hand pops so much more. May I dare say it’s now my favorite of the three flavors??? It’s like I got a brand new watch 3 times now. Can’t even imagine when I am able to find a jubilee bracelet for it… does it get better than the 16710?? Out of my collection this is one I will never let go!!

Yep owning a 16710 is such an experience!
Do you have the jubilee bracelet? You will not be disappointed. Also regarding the sore thumbs... been there!!! Mine says hello! Ever since having it on jubilee I can't even remember where the oyster bracelet is! Sent from my SM-F926B using Tapatalk |

Fantastic watch! Here’s my 16700 with the jubilee bracelet. I switched from oyster to jubilee and have no intention of going back.

Congratulations, same here gave up cus thumb got too sore and swearing didn’t help. Few days later, thumb needed some good rest, succeeded by pressing with a plastic bottle cap, make sure to cover it with a cloth to avoid scratching the insert.

It was my first Rolex and still one of the best looking things! I replaced the bezel insert on mine a few years ago as I had worn it daily for 10 years.

Wore mine today. Thinking of putting the oyster bracelet back on after 2 years on jubilee.

Most versatile Rolex ref, totally in love with mine. Throw it on leather and it changes everything!
Totally understand your sore thumbs and all that swearing. Plus for me, I had the fear of bending the insert. What did the trick for me most of the time were nylon tipped pliers. Might wanna give those a shot. |

That's an absolute beauty with the all black insert.
As an aside, I always thought the 116710LN should've had a red GMT hand instead of the green one. |
