Left the AD devastated today

I was in the city visiting some stores and generally having a good time. Decided to visit the local AD. The store was completely empty. I asked if I could purchase a 124060 and was told they had none available and that I could not be put on the list at this current moment but to check back in a few months. I left disappointed and crushed.

A string walks into a bar with a few friends and orders a beer.

The bartender says, "I'm sorry, but we don't serve strings here."

The string walks away a little upset and sits down with his friends.

A few minutes later he goes back to the bar and orders a beer. The bartender, looking a little exasperated, says, "I'm sorry, we don't serve strings here."

So the string goes back to his table. Then he gets an idea. He ties himself in a loop and messes up the top of his hair.

Then he walks back up to the bar and orders a beer. The bartender squints at him and says, "Hey, aren't you a string?"

And the string says, "Nope, I'm a frayed knot."

Crushed? Devastated?

It’s just a watch, friendo.

There may be watches in their safe. The trick is getting the AD to show you what they have.

Dang, I was literally expecting a better story than being told that you weren't able to join a waitlist. It happens all of the time honestly across the world.

You’ve come to the right place. This is a support group for masochists who can’t get watches they want so instead read post after post of other people obtaining what they themselves cannot.

Welcome!

What's the level of crushness from 0-10, with 10 being not able to live anymore? We need to get to the bottom of this!!!!

Ha ha ha …are you all still looking to buy a hot Rolex from an Authorized Rolex Dealer ?

Pay attention…and wake up !
The only people that have your Rolex of choice, are the “grey dealers” who have become
the New Unauthorized Rolex Dealers - They will supply the Rolex you want “yesterday”
for a much higher price than the officially advertised retail price.

It is a Rolex circus, Greys who will pay the lion’s share of the double or triple markup
to the AD for a desirable steel model…and also ADs who will buy from Greys to satisfy demand.

There are few exceptions for clients who spend “big money” with ADs, for merchandise
that can give them x 10 mark up (diamond jewelry) etc. These clients can also have
the Rolex they want “yesterday” at retail.

If it helps you cope, keep telling yourself that.

Left the AD devastated today

Since you’re devastated and crushed. Hear me out because this is going to sound crazy.

I suggest getting an emotional support llama, donkey or alligator. It’s going to take some time but if the plan comes together you can finally exact a little retribution on them for withholding your precious. After successfully training and getting credentials for said emotional support animal bring the animal into the AD with you.

If it’s a llama, stay long enough till it stinks the joint up and there’s llama dung all over the place. If it’s a donkey, stay until he’s so spooked by the other poor crushed and devastated souls entering and leaving that he’s kicked a few of the empty cases. If it’s a gator, stay long enough for him to hiss at a few VIP’s and maybe a SA or two. Make yourself so vile and repulsive they will do anything they can to keep you from ever entering or spending time in their store again. *

*Disclaimer- this is all suggested in a satirical manner and is by no means to be construed as legitimate advice in any legal fashion.

Very few Rolex ADs are worth squat. Everyone pays market either with other purchases, their time or favors. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. There’s a handful of local geezers who know the owner and good for them but few and far between.
