My dad’s semi-vintage Vacheron Constantin, complete service, VC hype?

So I spent 2300 USD on a complete service and parts replacement for my dad’s VC and prices were around 5800 USD last time I checked, now it is selling for 9400 USD on chrono24. Is there hype around for Vacheron as well now? Can’t believe even this watch is increasing in value. It is model number 48100, here is a photo

Lovely piece and elegant lugs too!

As for hype, am at the point of being sooo burned out i've decided to ignore all that noise.

i invested ~$400 on getting dad's old OMEGA Dynamic restored. Street price is low for this model, and frankly my dear i don't give a flying fruck. ....... Wearing dad's timepiece = priceless.

You have a truly lovely VC, wear it in good health and happiness.

That's a great looking Vacheron and although the service cost seems high, I'm sure they did a great job. Considering this is a true heirloom piece from your father, I think it's money well spent.
